The insect that you see in the pictures are known as locusts and belong to the grasshopper family. These have descended in quite huge numbers and even get into the house. The grey ones make terrible sound which is quite unbearable.
I do hope they disappear after the monsoons begin. The insects are busy eating the fresh green leaves of the trees.
Luckily,the one above did not fly away because I had gone very near to photograph it.
The worm that I had photographed earlier had disappeared by afternoon. It must have been eaten by a bird which is very sad. I had wanted to see if it would build a cocoon for itself.
