So, here I am fighting in Silver after a long time. Silver because I had rented out my cards last season expecting guests and they at first canceled the trip which made me take back my cards to play and they ended up coming anyway. In between all this confusion, I played but was not able to proceed in Modern beyond Gold 1 and I reset in Silver which is also good because I have lost touch with playing for lower leagues and this will help me practice playing and fighting without many abilities.
I am glad I stuck with playing for splinterlands because of many reasons that I do not want to state for fear of jinxing myself. 🤣
I decided to write for the weekly battle theme post and brush up on writing about splinterlands frequently.

As you can see, I battled a level one deck but that is expected because it is the silver league. The cards themselves are powerful, especially magic when used in the 'Earth' is really powerful especially in modern. It's not that the betas are less powerful but magic + Earth is powerful indeed.
Most people are looking forward to the next airdrop summoner that is seemingly very powerful and might do heavy damage to the other splinters. Only time will tell.
Back to the battle.
As you can see, the opponent has used heavy magic and is really a powerful lineup but my team had the benefit of dispel and amplify and void, phase, taunt affliction, and others. So, the heavy magic was wiped off. easily.
So, if you are new to splinterlands, make sure you first own the neutrals, then summoners and build up the commons and the rares, and then go for the epics and legendaries. I would advise you to buy all the cheap cards though because card packs can run out any minute and you will be left regretting that you did not buy those 'cheap' cards.
