If you are a new player, please read the following carefully. Click the link above and login to the website. Create a free account and if you like the game and want to start earning, buy the starter pack. Go over to the Shop page and buy Rebellion packs. The vouchers give you a discount and can be bought from the tribaldex website - https://tribaldex.com/ Then transfer it in game and avail huge discounts and purchase the packs. Rebellion goes live on December 5, 2023. You can use the time to start playing the cards and familiarize yourself with the rules, the cards, and the game. Visit monstermarket (https://monstermarket.io/) and buy cards that are useful. I would advise you to first purchase the neutrals. Then the sneaks, magics and the range. You can slowly proceed to buy epics and legendaries too.
Rebellion will replace the Untamed in the Modern format. Many new players have been looking forward to this phase because the powerful untamed will not be a part of the modern format anymore and can only be played from the wild format. There will also be changes in the way Brawl frays are designed, presumably.
Rebellion cards, the new rule sets, the stats - the summoner abilities - can change the way the game is played in a huge manner. So, if you are just a casual gamer who just wants to dump cards and SPS, then Splinterlands is not for you because you will need to invest in Rebellion eventually to catch up with the others. Bots that were prevalent earlier and that used to loot the game and destroy it are now not part of the modern format. Bots are also not allowed in the brawls either. This made a lot of bot owners leave but I think it is good for the game itself because such bots will not get the cards and rewards that are meant for actual gamers who will invest heavily. it does take time to reveal the fox in the sheep's clothing but it was done by the Splinterlands team that made wise decisions. In the end, it is all to make the game even more durable.
If you have been a player right from the start, then you will be really excited to try this new format out. So, do watch out for the release, and if you are planning to get the presale promos, buy the packs before they run out as these cards will not be available in packs. As we all know, Dr.Blight is a really useful card and many players later regretted not buying the presale packs to ensure they got it. The promos can be sold on the secondary markets but the price would be decided by the sellers, obviously.
I have bought a few packs and hope to buy more on the go. I am looking forward to increasing my rating in the modern format so that I can avoid the bots in the wild. Hope to see you in the game.
