A few days before, Chandrayan 3 - the space project - India was successful in landing on the moon. I am not going to write more about it and there is enough and more on the topic on the internet.

Below are just some observations from my part.

  • Many people have now realised that any thing that mentions India garners thousands of views on YouTube which means real-term money. So, every person who has got a decent subscriber base or aims for it does a video that is somehow related to India and includes the tags. Lo, a few hours later, their views are outstanding and translate to money. Search YouTube today and you will find even famous media houses discussing the topic of India landing on the moon. I appreciate the fact that they were able to get an interview with Neil Tyson too.

  • I find it hurting that certain countries find it hard to digest the fact that developing countries such as India have successful space projects. Space is not limited to a few countries. It is open to all and the more developments by humanity, the more good it is for all the people and beings on this planet. Ego and borders are a thing of the past. It is time people realize that and work together for the good of future generations.

  • It is a shame that the people who work and were successful in such space projects are paid much less when compared to the private sector. It is also a shame that the government-run IITs that boast of super brains are not able to retain the students who use the top-class facilities of the country and then leave it at the drop of the hat to work for others and also give up their citizenship too thus forgetting the way they traveled. It is also a shame that cricketers are paid more whereas science is not given a fraction. It is high time, that space research and medical research are given more funds.

  • The education system of the country must be revamped and subjects such as skilled work, swimming etc, must be introduced. Students who graduate must also be asked to work in the rural parts of the country for one year at least on a compulsory note instead of catching the next flight to the west or other developed country and working for their betterment. Improving one's own house must be the rule and I hope we can witness such a situation in the coming years. Personal success is important but one should also learn to give back to one's own country. It is true that there are opportunities outside developing countries but they can be brought home with the help of those who left for a better life.

The above are just a few of my observations. Nobody needs to agree with it. if you do, then please take a moment to share this blog.

Let us all try to plant a tree sapling whenever we can to ensure a green planet
