Ever thankful for the support from the @bdcommunity as always.
I decided to participate in this week's contest because I felt it touched my heart somehow and it would be ungrateful of me if I did not remember to be thankful for all I have got.
I was daddy's princess. A happy family and if I write too much about it, I may not even get to complete this post. I do not want to remember the days of my youth when I fell into a dark phase where it was hard to find the light around.
Thing is my dad was a high profile lawyer and trusted his relatives too much. He passed away suddenly and we, his family i.e. my brothers, myself and mother were left with nothing but dark days, a house with huge loans and no help from relatives who demanded equal share from the house which my dad had built. We were quite young back then and studying. So, we did not have a clue as to how to handle such situations.
They took advantage and smilingly cheated us. Karma repaid but that is not what I am writing about today.
I remember living youthful days when usually people made most of their time by partying and such. We were struggling with my eldest brother's meager salary. Even then, the superior force which you can call God helped us see through this phase and our dear neighbors were always there to make us cheerful and also helped us financially too.
I never knew until later that it was one of the neighbors who paid for my Journalism course in full. I am always grateful to them.
It is easy to lose hope and be sad and feel like a crybaby all the time.
Let me tell you this - no one will spoon feed you. You have to be a fighter and then you can feel the supreme force helping you by pushing you little by little through others.
We could have lost hope and stopped being happy because our dad was a charismatic personality and it is not easy and never has been but he would have wanted us to be happy and maybe that's why we learned to live.
Do not be afraid
Do not lose hope
Do not expect others to help you if you cannot first help yourself
Be brave
Read stories of hope and cheer
Stay happy and make others happy
Years have passed and I lost my mother and second elder brother too but I know they are all there somewhere in my heart, looking after me.
