Why can the back button freeze an Angular page?

In an Angular application, the browser's back button changes the URL. The router must then detect this change and display the corresponding view. If this transition is poorly handled, the user may end up with a blank or frozen page. Everything hinges on good synchronization between the browser and Angular.

This can happen when the targeted component doesn't initialize correctly or the data it needs isn't yet available. Angular then fails to display the expected view, giving the impression that the page is unresponsive. Properly managing the state of components and their dependencies is therefore essential.

To avoid this problem, regularly test your routes, especially during back navigation. Verify that each component can reset correctly and that the necessary data is available at the right time. These precautions contribute to smoother navigation and a consistent user experience, even when using native browser commands.
