  1. What the error message says
"You need 1,000 L-Shares to post viral. You hold 0." The site blocks you from posting on Hive. You must first own a share of the network—known as "L-Shares."
  1. What are L-Shares?
They aren't money; they’re an entry ticket. They don’t grant you more voting power—they simply provide the right to post within a specific "window" (the "Viral" window being the most expensive). You acquire them by locking up your LASSECASH tokens.
  1. How do you get them?
Go to lassecash.com and navigate to the "Mint" section. You can lock your LASSECASH for a period ranging from one day to three years. The longer and larger the amount you lock, the more L-Shares you receive (with a bonus of up to 2.25x). This is the official "Lock" mechanism.
  1. What is the actual cost?
As you’ve seen, the current rate is 1 HBD = 1,698 LASSECASH. Therefore, 1,000 L-Shares is roughly equivalent to 0.59 HBD, or about $0.60–$0.75. You aren't "spending" the tokens—you are locking them—but keep in mind that withdrawing them before the lock-up period ends will result in a partial loss of your funds.
  1. Why does this system exist?
As of August 31, 2026, LASSECASH has migrated to the MAGI network (moving away from Hive-Engine). While there are no direct transaction fees, the system requires "credits." The L-Share mechanism serves as an anti-spam measure and encourages users to stake their tokens, which helps drive up the price.
  1. Do you get your investment back?
Yes—if your post receives votes on LasseCash, you earn 20% in liquid tokens and 80% in L-Shares; those who vote on your content also receive rewards. However, if no one votes for your post, you will have effectively paid $0.75 for nothing. Voting via another Hive frontend does not count.
  1. Is there a cheaper option?
Yes. "Viral" status requires 1,000 L-Shares, which puts you in the top 10. Check the "Thresholds" page: the "Latest" or "New" sections often require only 10 or 100 L-Shares—that’s just $0.05. Try it out with that amount.
  1. Is it a scam?
No; the site does not steal your keys. It only requests "posting authority," which cannot be used to move your funds. However, it is a highly centralized "tribe" token (the founder holds ~27%) with very low liquidity. It’s a gamble, not a safe investment.
