Hi All,
If you look a couple posts back I posed the question on what card should i choose between Caladuum or Cthulhu, Im creating this post to announce that I couldn't decide so I bought both, I also picked up the Grenadier. Im still on a mad dash to buy enough cards to boost myself up to silver 3 hopefully by this seasons end which is in about 5 days or so. Recently the price of cards are increasing exponentially fast, I Definitely feel the fomo beginning to set in. I can't tell if the rise in price is due to the rise of bitcoin or that splinterlands is just becoming so popular so fast and everyone wants a piece, but i digress. back on topic here are the cards I recently picked up.
let met start off with saying that Cthulhu is a magic tank! he's beastly when it comes to taking damage and dealing damage. with 12 health and 3 magic attack his only downfall is how slow his starter speed is which is 1. he does sport the ability cripple which helps when fighting opponents with healers, as it reduces the max health of splinters he's hit. Cthulhu also had flying which makes it little harder to hit him. Im very happy that im able to pick up Cthulhu and Caladuum.
Caladuum was the other card I really wanted to get as he's another magic tank, I honestly only intended to to buy one card but I ended up with both. I feel like Caladuum is a lot more tanky compared to Cthulhu as Caladuum has 3 shield in addition to all the same stats that Cthulhu has. Caladuums ability is void which reduces damage taken from magic attacks, this ability is very useful when fighting someone who loves to use water.
Since I had some funds leftover when I Bought Cthulhu and Caladuum, I decided to get a useful natural card which was low mana. I picked up the Grenadier and I couldn't be more happier. I was looking for something I could use that was low mana and high impact that's how i stumbled on to the Grenadier. the Grenadier has a special ability called Oppressed which does double damage to splinters that have no attack, can you say awesome.
