From a distance the impeachment of Mrs. Park in South Korea seemed to be a sort of Brazilian mix of politics and corruption. A collective Mao Tze-Tung nailed a treacherous "Gang of Four." It was a curiosity blowing in the wind. One might be excused for the fleeting notion that Hillary Clinton may have had some unspecified influence in the creation and rise of Mrs. Park.
The revelation recently that Mrs. Park entertained the idea of arranging the assassination of Kim Jong-un, locally revered leader of North Korea, to create a regime change, however, smacks of U.S. Deep State. The source of this information seems to be Japanese intelligence. Of course, they might privately like to see Kim "resting in peace," but they also might suppose an assassination to be risky business. If Kim survived such an attack, his volatile temperament might unleash a nuclear missile, and only God would know where it might land and explode (if it, in fact, exploded). It might be aimed at South Korea and actually hit Japan.
Parenthetically, it was Sony's subdivision that participated in a satiric movie about two American "patsies" hired to assassinate Kim Jong-un. North Korea was not amused.
Also, it might be timely to observe that North Korea has been journalistically painted as a harsh, weird, paranoid nation, which, while it was under the Kim dynasty, was eternally hostile to the United States and its wise, embracing world vision.
This American perspective was reinforced by periodic episodes of American visitors to North Korea running afoul of its laws and being arrested, judged and sentenced to long periods of matriculation in one of North Korea's reeducation prisons. Such events could not make a worse impression on kindly, well-meaning Americans.
Maybe not all of these visitors were innocent merchants of American good-will.
By this time a respectable portion of thinking Americans have perceived that some difficult-to-finger, though powerful, elements connected to the Unites States federal government were heavily involved in such dark arts as drug-running, terrorism and regime change. After the General Clark list of "national governments to be toppled by the Pentagon" circulated on the Internet, including YouTube, as well as ongoing scientific examinations of the results of the 9/11 attacks, there was a great illumination among an impressive minority of Americans that "We're involved!" As with Pogo in the old comic strip: "We have met the enemy --- and he is us."
Naturally, with "false flags" seemingly occurring throughout the Middle East, Europe and America, suspicions were aroused among those illuminated Americans that one part of the energizing source was either U.S. intelligence, British intelligence or Israeli intelligence. Of course, they individually or as partners might expedite a terror "false flag" fronted by still others, whether other intelligence organizations, other military or paramilitary groups, including mercenaries, and/or a variety of disgruntled patsies. In short, part of the U.S. government was involved or informed by partners routinely or occasionally working on regime change or terror "false flags" with the United States.
It can make a citizen feel a little dirty, too.
When it came to "dirty deeds -- done dirt cheap," former President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton might well have claimed to be at the apex of that dubious pyramid. Hillary was also a visible symbol of world feminism, towering over Angela Merkel, Mrs. Park, et al.
I believe that it is entirely possible that the idea of assassinating Kim Jong-un may have either originated with Hillary, or it was brought to her attention by diplomatic sources connected to Mrs. Park. As Hillary probably liked the idea, if details could be "ironed out," she probably approached President Obama to "schlepp the idea."
Being a basketball enthusiast, President Obama probably first wondered if Hillary might be thinking of using Dennis Rodman for the assassination assignment. He could not be happy with such a clumsy, though treacherous, idea. With Hillary's helpful suggestions, President Obama would probably have agreed to the wisdom of assuring Mrs. Park of U.S. support, while allowing South Korean intelligence to work out a feasible assassination scheme.
North Korea also has an intelligence organization which has infiltrated South Korean politics, etc. News of an assassination attempt on the life of the revered leader would certainly have quietly tripped alarms, if unearthed.
From the point of view of North Korea, the best way to neutralize this situation would be to "roar like a lion" at President Obama, while quietly revealing Mrs. Park's corruption -- even if it had to be manufactured and/or suborned. Kim Jong-un could quietly through his agents spur political opposition, which eventually would lead to impeachment. Later, North Korean agents in Japan could allow data about the Park-planned assassination of Kim Jong-un to surface and be revealed. Such a revelation would appear ripe for airing after the Trump Administration became settled in office.
World affairs operate far differently from what those distant from power imagine.
