Harvard graduate student Simon lock and UC David, planetary scientist Sarah Stewart have published a paper containing a new hypothesis regarding the origin of moon. the hypothesis say that the moon may have originated from the ring of a vaporized planet.
This hypothesis can explain some of the inconsistencies left by the collision theory.
