with a chill and echoes of the past
In any good trip, music is key. A few months ago I took some Mescaline and ground my consciousness on the wheel of time. I was listening to Frente Bolivarista Vol.4 - Nômades which is compilation inspired by the sounds of Nomade Festival.
There were a few tracks that I was listening to that gave me this idea to make a video.
At the beginning of the trip, there was this hyper-awareness of all the sounds happening outside my window. Which I made a connection to The pleasure of ...simple things of everyday life. In which I kept the audio track in, it just gave more texture to the felt experience.
The second part of the trip was going to another world. Now I couldn't really find a direct connection, but OVERVIEW a short film documenting astronauts’ life-changing stories of seeing the Earth from the outside – a perspective-altering experience often described as the Overview Effect. Really did capture the feel of 'The Overview Effect' that I experienced.
Here's my attempt trying to convey some of my felt experience of that trip.
