It would depend entirely on the project and what the end goal is. But I personally like to think of myself as being one of the stakeholders in any project I enjoy or am serious about. As a stakeholder I would want to make sure that I am taken care of and I of course ROI and continue to turn a profit. But the best type of stakeholder are those that are not emotionally driven and want to be with the company for a long time. I hope this helps!
