Life keeps moving on in its own way, but sometimes I wonder—why do I love cricket so much?

It all started back in 2019 when I used to listen to FM radio. Suddenly, a commentary of a football match came on, and that was when my interest in sports slowly began to grow. Then, around 2020, I started watching a bit of cricket. But the real turning point came with the 2021 T20 World Cup—ever since watching that, cricket became deeply special to me.

Things reached a point where, days before a big match, I would start getting ready and eagerly waiting for it. When only a few hours were left for the match to begin, I would keep thinking—when is it going to start? When will it finally begin?

To be honest, I have never really played cricket myself, and maybe I never could. Plus, I have an issue with one of my eyes. Even so, I don't know what is so magical about cricket that pulls me in this much. I have asked myself this question many times—there are so many things in this world, so why am I so crazy about cricket? But truly, I still haven't found the exact answer.

Whether it is a big international match, our national team's game, or even a small local match in our area—whenever there is a match, I sit down to watch it with so much joy. I still follow cricket regularly.

Sometimes I feel so amazed thinking about what magic this game holds that has made me so addicted to it. When that nail-biting tension begins—especially towards the end of a match, when only a few runs are needed off a few balls—that heart-pounding fear and excitement takes me to a completely different world. The feeling of those moments is truly something else, and it brings me so much happiness. Somehow, cricket is not just a game to me; it is something very close to my heart. 🌟
