Just a few days in Ecency. Still not understanding many things. Yet some feelings are slowly becoming clear.
At first it felt like just another app. But seeing the communities here was amazing. People respond sincerely to each other's posts. No one leaves a newcomer alone. Small talk gets importance too. This feeling is not easily found elsewhere.
Here I understood, just posting is not enough. You have to open up a bit. You have to speak the truth. And move forward slowly without rushing.
As a newcomer, a few things seemed important to me. First, account security. The master password or key must never be shared with anyone. Once lost, it cannot be recovered.
Second, regular short writing. Instead of waiting to write something big, you can start writing whatever comes to mind. Sincerity is valued most here.
Third, listening to others. Instead of just talking about yourself, reading others' posts and making sincere comments. This slowly builds connections.
And finally, patience. Nothing happens overnight here. Those who move forward slowly and honestly can make their own place over time.
I am still new. Much remains to be learned. But in these few days it felt like — walking correctly, it is possible to build something of your own here.
