Hope everyone is doing well. Today, I am not writing about any major topic; this is simply an expression of accumulated feelings—a small thought, a page of beautiful memories left behind. The time was February 23, 2023. Back then, I used to like a person, whom I perhaps loved unknowingly without even fully understanding what love truly means.

If I talk about that moment, it was one of the best and most thrilling experiences of my life. It was on this very day that I took her for my first-ever boat ride on the waters of our river.

Three days prior to that memorable afternoon, she had asked me to take her somewhere on a boat. I used to wander around our river with a small boat anyway. Around that time, an uncle of mine had seen me roaming around like that and suggested that I take her on the boat one day as well.

Then, exactly three days later, on the afternoon of the 23rd, she came. With her were her elder sister and two or three of her friends. I took everyone and sailed quite far away along the river.

When it was time to drop them off, everyone else got down, but for some reason, she didn't—I don't know how she stayed behind. Seeing that, her elder sister smiled and said, "Go, both of you go around somewhere together."

Hearing this, she hesitated a bit and said, "Ammu will scold, Ammu will get angry."

After dropping everyone else off, I playfully asked, "Who is going to pay my boat fare?" Smiling, she replied, "Come home and get it."

Ah, what a wonderful moment that was! If only these memories could be seen before my eyes someday and not get lost like this!

Perhaps I wasn't worthy of her—this is something I always think about to this day. If I had been worthy, I would have walked up to her with my head held high, holding a flower in my hand, and said, "I like you."

I understand this very well, because there are a few complications in my luck and the path of my life. My life doesn't know where it will take me or what the future holds.

Today, I can read myself, I can understand what kind of person I really am. Yet, unknowingly, I never did anything that would cause her even the slightest bit of pain. I truly loved her.

Perhaps I didn't get her, perhaps our story ended without really ending—it remained like a short story. Yet, this is one of the best and sweetest moments of my life.

There are many such memories in life that perhaps I don't remember clearly anymore. Memories don't visit every single moment; some memories suddenly come and bring tears to the corners of our eyes, while others remind us of a gentle, sweet smile.

Today, lying in bed with my eyes closed, I was thinking about these old words, and unmindfully, some such magical moments slipped away.
