Once, you flat out asked without a warning
If I ever thought of living instead
The curiosity was visible
And for a moment, I really wanted to believe
Maybe, just maybe the truth actually mattered
But it was just another routine check for you
Wasn’t it?
Just another question to cross off
From the list that can provide an answer
Or perhaps a name
To the jumble of mysteries this mind can create

So I did what I do best
And like always, you failed to trace the whispers
