It is such an uncomfortable topic but definitely a necessary one to talk about. I find it really interesting how your guest distinguishes between the lack of autonomy from overprotection and the personality affinity that leads to favoritism. It makes a lot of sense that parents are just people who might naturally click more with one personality over another.
