Ah yes, that winter. Although I was born in December, I don't like winter, it annoys me that I have to wear heavy boots and thick jackets. Although I don't like winter, sometimes it can surprise me. When that beautiful white blanket falls and whitewashes the whole city, it entices me to go outside and be the first to leave my mark in it.

When it snows, children like to go out and snowballs, they also like to sled and make snowmen. Snow magic cannot be described in words, it must be felt. I'm not a fan of playing in the snow, I usually like to sit by the window, drink hot tea and watch a nice romantic series. But I couldn't resist this snowy day, I decided to go outside and see if any snowman was walking around the city.

As soon as I went outside, a cute little snowman was waiting for me, but he just kept quiet and didn't answer me. I wondered why he just sat quietly on the well. Maybe he was just waiting for me to help him see and speak.

I helped him, he was immediately surprised when he saw how beautiful it was outside and he told it was made by two girls, and that they called it Olaf... hmm that name sounds familiar to me. He didn't want to reveal much to me, but I think he came out of a cartoon.

But that's not the end of my search for a snowman. I went to town, I didn't find them there. So I decided to go to the fortress. I found two huge snowmen. They just stood and protected their territory, I didn't dare approach them, but they didn't look as cute as the one at the well.

They weren't as big as the biggest snowman who was 37 meters tall and lived in the USA, but they were still scary and big.

I have been outside for a long time, my fingers started to freeze, I decided to return home and continue watching the romantic series and drinking hot tea.

The first snowman:

It is an urban legend that the first snowman we know today was created in the 19th century in the USA. However, Bob Eckstein, a "Snowman expert", found illustrations from the "Petits Voyages" atlas describing the travels of the Dutch navigator William Barents, who was trying to find his northern route to India and China. However, he did not succeed in his intention, but that is why the Berenco Sea is a reminder of his courage.
In any case, in this atlas, Bob also found illustrations by a snowman. The first to leave a depiction of a human figure made of snow in his works was Daniel Nikolaus Chodoviecki, in which he depicted the then Snowman with a stick or broom. Human-like figures made of snow at that time were a symbol of the harsh winter, and Sneško was a soldier of frost and cold.
