This is a folk game in which I participated, called "metohija".
This folk play comes from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, and as far as wearing it is concerned, it is beautiful in my opinion. It takes a little longer to put on, but when you put it on you don't want to take it off :D
Kosovo and Metohija are distinguished by their very diverse folk costumes, known for their richness and abundance of shapes and decorations.
Created over many years, the costumes contain elements of the various cultural influences that confronted this area during the historical epochs.
The Serbian costume from Kosovo and Metohija stands out for its exceptional beauty and diversity. The riches of imagination and craftsmanship in creating basic shapes and decorative motifs are visible on firs, dolamas, teeth, anthers, shirts, aprons, belts, scarves, headgear, hats, , which were made by women, girls and tertiaries. The ornaments are predominantly geometric or geometrized plant, then plant, less often zoomorphic. The color is often red. Its symbolic and magical meaning - a symbol of life and health - combined with other colors and silver and gold shimmer, adds to the vibrant color harmony of these costumes.
The city's costume was under direct Oriental influence. It remained in use until almost before the Second World War. In its overall stylistic design, it had the same features throughout Kosovo and Metohija, with slight variations in particular environments. It was worn in Prizren, Peja, Djakovica, Pristina, Kosovska Mitrovica, Gjilan and other smaller townships.
City costumes were mostly made by tertiary masters.
The city's men's costume is mainly based on the Turkish-Oriental clothing tradition, with influences from the Greek costume.
Each town wore a fez, usually darker in color and always with a black tassel. She was wearing a tufted suit, dark blue and black.
