My Review #2 Outlast 2

Outlast 2 is a first person survival horror game released on April 25,2017. This the sequel to previous Outlast developed by Red Barrels. Today I am gonna give My Review of this game.

Plot:

This game features a journalist named Blake Langermann, along with his wife Lynn, roaming the Arizona desert to explore the murder of a pregnant woman only known as Jane Doe. They got separated from a sudden helicopter crash. Now Blake has to find his wife through a village full of maniacs.

Story is quite larger than previous one. This game has six chapters in total. As the story progress you go deeper and deeper into the plot. Sometime its hard to keep up with the story. Nevertheless, if previous outlast was built on sudden jump scare intensity, this one is based on story suspense intensity. I personally felt that, chasing part is much more intense than previous one.But, previous outlast's story was more satisfying.

Gameplay:

Gameplay is same as before with some upgrades. You cant attack or use any weapon. You only have a camera with night vision. But this camera also has a sound meter. Which help you to detect nearby enemy movements. In some portion of game it is a must to use this new upgrades.

Though gameplay is quite same as before, it is the by far most satisfying part of the game.

Graphics:

Graphics looks good for a fps survival horror game. Combination light and shadow makes u feel the intensity going on. Its not a big of a change than before. But this time it has to cover a larger area. You can say kind of open world. So,good job there.

Voice Acting:

As before,voice acting is on the top. Every situations feels real. Specially Blake's voice acting is awesome. In previous outlast playable character couldnt talk. So thats a plus point!
