Images are mine

For my presentation today, I did a praise medly in my local dialect, Kalabari.

Kalabari is an ijaw language, spoken my the Kalabari people of Buguma, Abonnema, Tombia in Rivers State, Nigeria.

Why these songs are so special to me is because myhere was a time my family was going through a lot of challenges.

Those times were tough and my Mum seldomly talked because of how worried she was.

Being a Teenager then, I asked my Dad severally about what the main issue was but he just kept saying that I wouldn't understand and I and my siblings should just keep praying.

That time, I did not know so much about God or even prayer like I do now but I prayed the best way I could.

One certain evening, I walked into my parent's room and found my Mum seriously crying. It was then I knew that the situation was a big one. I wanted to encourage her ๐Ÿ˜” so she won't cry again but I wasn't sure about how best to do it in service way that she would get the message.

Then, I acted as though I was looking for something and while at it, I sang the first song on my video which has the interpretation; "... don't cry, there's no one greater than God."
As soon as she heard it, her face lit up, she smiled, and started shredding tears of joy!! Soon, those challenges were solved; we had a testimony!

Oh was I glad that day that I was able to cheer my Mum up through this beautiful song and since then, the song has been so dear to me. I sing it to strengthen and encourage myself.

These songs remind me that there is no one like God. Whatever the challenge may be, my God is far greater than them and in such situation, I praise Him, declaring His mighty works.
I encourage you today, God is bigger than every opposition you may be facing now. Don't cry, just thank Him and He will definitely come through for you.

I hope you do like my rendition of the song ๐ŸŽต โค ๐Ÿ’œ ๐ŸŽถ ๐Ÿช• ๐ŸŽผ ๐Ÿ’ฟ
