When did you first get into tabletop wargames or RPGs?
Well, I think it was early middle school, a group of friends were playing Alternity and I joined in. It has been a long time since that game, but I count it as the first.

What first attracted you?
As mentioned it was middle school and I had only moved into the school district in the last year. It was also that "preteen who am" phase of life and I was trying to figure out who I was.

Which games do you play?
I currently run Edge Studios (formerly Fantasy Flight Games) Genesys and Star Wars Table Top RPGs, and on occasion get to play some D&D 5th edition.

Which games WON'T you play?
Haven't found one yet.

Do you play in person? Online?
My group did some online play and still do when we need to, but we (mostly) met up for a weekly game. Right now we are on winter break and prep for the next campaign.

RPG Player, DM, both? Neither?
Little column player, and a LOT of column Game Master.

Casual, competitive, or never wargamer?
I did do some casual 40k and competitive Warmahordes, but haven't had time in the last few years, what with the toddler wrangling and all.

Do you also collect and paint miniatures?
I used to, but don't have the time or patience any more.

Do you craft terrain?
Nope, I think its cool, but not for me.

Do you 3D print miniatures, terrain or bits?
Nope, see above.

Has anyone on Hive been particularly helpful?
Yep, @jacobtothe and @generikat. They got me started.

What would you say to someone interested in getting into tabletop for the first time?
If you want to get into Tabletop Wargaming, start with an army that looks cool to you. Then check around to see if there is a local gaming club or game store, the community likes it when new players join. Mostly because you need bodies and a play space for the hobby to work.

If you want to get into Tabletop RPGs, I would start by asking the people you know if they know anybody who plays. This includes online, making a post about it is one of the best ways to find people. If you have a local game store or club you can try Adventures League. If all else fails and you really want to play, you have to make that ultimate sacrifice... become a Game Master. Its scary, humiliating, and sometimes you and your players will have a good time. But the more you do it, the easier it gets. So keep at it.
