Anita the reporter! ✨📠Drawing process

Hello dear friends of Hive and Sketchbook!!

For this occasion I would like to share and present the new series of projects of these two beloved characters.
Anita the little reporter and her grandmother Peti the great baker. Both live in the town of wini.
In future publications I will be telling the story of this great little town.
For this publication I decided to present them through a photograph taken by Anita's grandfather before leaving.
It is a very old photograph, but it reflects a lot about the two of them.
This photo will be sent to a town outside the country, so that the grandfather can remember the moments of the three of them.
I hope you like the process of drawing this small but commemorative photograph.

Para esta ocasión les quiero compartir y presentar la nueva serie de proyectos de estos dos queridos personajes.

Anita la pequeña reportera junto a su abuela Peti la gran panadera. Ambas habitan en el pueblo de wini.

En próximas publicaciones les estaré contando la historia de este gran pequeño pueblo.

Para esta publicación decidí presentarlas mediante una fotografía tomada por el abuelo de Anita antes de partir.
Una fotografía bastante antigua, pero que ella se puede reflejar bastante acerca de ellas dos.

Esta foto será enviada a un pueblo a las afueras del país, para que el abuelo recuerde los momentos de ellos tres.
Espero les pueda gustar el proceso de dibujo de esta pequeña pero conmemorativa fotografía.

Starting with the sketch... I was very clear about what I wanted to convey.
With the Lapiz 6B I started with this illustration.
As you can see, I always start the sketch in the quickest and clearest way for me. So at the beginning it may not look very clean, I always try to place the characters in their place and from there start a clearer line.

Empezando por el boceto… tenía muy claro lo que quería transmitir.
Con el Lapiz 6B empecé con esta ilustración.

Como pueden ver, siempre el boceto lo comienzo de la manera más rápida y más clara para mi. Así al principio no podrá ver muy limpio, siempre trato de colocar los personajes en su lugar y a partir de allí empezar una línea más clara.

Then with the same brush Lapiz 6B.
I will start a thinner and clearer line.
As you can see in this process you can see the characters more clearly.
From the beginning and before starting this project, I had in my mind very clear the faces and personalities of them.

Luego con el mismo pincel Lapiz 6B
Empezaré una línea más delatada y clara.

Como pueden ver en este proceso ya se puede apreciar más claramente a los personajes.

Desde un principio y antes de comenzar con este proyecto, tenía en la mente muy claro los rostros y las personalidades de ellas.

After having the clear line, I will start with the base colors.
For this occasion I wanted to change the routine. I chose greenish colors with some warmth but with a lot of softness.
Really as I started to add these tones, I could see that it went very well with the essence and personality of them and their environment in general. I could really confirm that I wanted these colors in the color palette of this beautiful story.

Luego de tener la línea clara, empezaré con los colores base.
Para esta ocasión quería cambiar la rutina. Elegí colores verdosos con algo de calidez pero con mucha suavidad.

Realmente al comenzar a agregar estos tonos, podía ver que iba muy bien con la esencia y personalidad de ellas y su ambiente en general.

Realmente pude confirmar que estos colores los quería en la paleta de colores de esta hermosa historia.

After having the sketch line and the base colors applied, I will start with the details.
You already know from my previous publications, that from here on it's all details until the end.
The details I will be starting with the Watercolor Brush and the Crayon Brush.
Very gently I will be applying them until I achieve the right texture and saturation.

Después de tener la línea del boceto y los colores base aplicados, empezaré con los detalles.

Ya ustedes saben por mis publicaciones anteriores, que a partir de aquí es todo detalles hasta el final.

Los detalles los estaré empezando con el Pincel de Acuarela y el de Crayon

Muy suavemente los estaré aplicando hasta lograr la textura y la saturación adecuada.

Having the basic details, I will start with the colored outline. This outlining will be done in the same way with the Lapiz 6B.
I will be using for the lines the same tones applied in the drawing.
Soft tones and thin lines so as not to make the illustration heavy.

Teniendo los detalles básicos, empezaré con el delineado a color. Este delineado lo estaré realizando de igual manera con el Lapiz 6B
Estaré utilizando para las líneas los mismos tonos aplicados en el dibujo.

Tonos suaves y líneas delgadas para no hacer pesada la ilustración.

Then I will be starting with the stronger details.
Grandma is wearing a knitted sweater with a rather peculiar print, this one I also made with the lapiz 6B.
I really had a lot of fun making this design as I had never done it before.
After this experience I want to be able to add more patterns and texture in my illustrations.

Luego estaré empezando con los detalles más fuertes.

La Abuela lleva un suéter a punto con un estampado bastante peculiar, este también lo he realizado con el lapiz 6B
Realmente me divertí mucho realizando este diseño ya que nunca lo había hecho antes.

Después de esta experiencia quiero poder agregar más patrones de diseño y textura en mis ilustraciones.

I'll be going through with the background. Since this is a photograph, I wanted to recreate a very old and somewhat dirty wall.
Adding a lot of texture was paramount for this background. I was using beige and white colors.
I was also adding shadows to make it more realistic and vivid.

Estaré pasando con el fondo. Como se trata de una fotografía, quería recrear una pared muy vieja y un poco sucia.

Agregar bastante textura era lo primordial para este fondo. Estuve utilizando colores beigue y blanco.

También estuve agregando sombras para hacerla más real y viva.

And that's it folks!
The rest was to polish the details and add a lot of texture as I always do.
