HIVE has a very important challenge still pending: to completely differentiate itself from Sun and Steemit by becoming more decentralized.

I think, we already distanced ourselves. However, the technology remains same, so that way, we both use the same technology. Coming to becoming more decentralized, I think, it can happen only when we have more of the middle class. Based on the statistics I see from various people, the no of middle class is increasing, but we are still far from a point where the middle class collectively will have the bigger stake.
