Do you encounter with wildlife in your garden?
This week has been a tough one, as I had to go couple of times to my native, to procure mangoes from our garden, as we do not get these exotic mangoes even in market. Apart from they being organic, the taste of these mangoes makes me mad and very anxious to not loose them at all.

A little harsh summer made them ripen on the plant and this attracted all wild attentions - troop of monkeys visited to survey and prepare an attack plan, Mom putting the first line of defense (a barricade of thorns from the from the apple berry plant) spoiling their immediate war plan. Mom even stores some crackers to scare them, but of late, they have adopted to these sounds, and no longer fear them. But you can't stop birds - they have a much better instinct to know which one is ready to eat.
Mom quickly put up couple of these tools to pluck the mangoes, this is something, I still need to learn.
We have even bamboos at our home, they are put up at an extreme corner in the backward based on some Bastu compliance. But pulling them is the most difficult task, she already had this in mind, so she cut two straight bamboos and left them since last one month - once dry, it's easy to pull them.
And after I reached, the very next morning, we were on a mission - to get all the yellow ones first. It's difficult to pluck them later in the day, as holding the plucking tool with that long bamboo needs good amount of strength and work, and the hot weather discourages the interest.
The one above is the most tasty mango that tastes sweeter like sugar. I have even given a name to it - soul satisfying mango - the joy of eating fulfills the desire to east something at the very moment we eat it. We ourselves don't know, how this plant grew up and thus don't know the name or breed but I can tell you, it's the most exotic mango that we ever get in market.
This one is also nice and Mom's favorite, though not as sweet as the other one - so Mom keeps most of these and I bring the other one - we both are happy.
These many mangoes fall on their own every day - unless you eat them on that day (which is not possible for them), they get damaged. The yellow ones are easy to pluck - you just need to make sue, the tool is rightly placed, so that the mango will fall inside - a little shake will do that.
The house is full of mangoes - they are everywhere - the most ripen ones being put on the fridge.
Next day morning, I climbed the tree and got these many of Mom's favorite - they are now resting on sand, to be ready for us.
Looks mouth watering and delicious ? Getting couple of mangoes from the fridge and eating them in hot summer feels like eating a very delicious golden yellow ice cream. We have distributed many to friends and relatives and everyone is asking what's the name of the mango ? You see, this is why I have given a name too.
We stopped plucking more as we were running out of space to keep them but interestingly, one of our very old friend invited us for his house entering ceremony in a gap of three days (more to come on that), so I had to go again and plucked another batch. This summer is really fulfilling - after a long time, we have had this many mangoes, especially the sweeter ones - all fully organic without any pesticide.
