May the Goddess make all of us wealthy

She can make one wealthy over night , and she can make one poorest as well. She likes night - Yes, that is why you see , OWL is her Vahana ( her Vehicle to travel). OWL can see in the night if you do not know. And it's believed that, the OWL can forecast future events. If you see the OWL in day time, its considered bad luck but if you see in the night, then it indicates, you are going to be wealthy, because somewhere the goddess is around if you see it in the night. The owl also cautions us not to be trapped by wealth and show ego.

The women in family are the ones, who are very strict in following all the practices throughout this month and next month. These practices are from ages, so all most every family follows these. This whole month will be a vegan affair at home and at the end of the month, there will be an occasion, on which people start eating non-veg. Price on that day soars to new highs - but given that, is after a month, people do not mind to pay extra.

Next month, the women will do the Laxmi Puja on every Thursday - and there are lot of rituals on those days. It will not be done this year for us (because of a death in the family), but I can say, the home minister is very strict in following the rules on these Thursdays. There is a whole book on what the women should do and what not - she reads that, and I really like what is quoted on the book. Its all about reforms that makes the ladies disciplined and committed towards the family.

I believe the woman has the biggest role in family building - she can shape how your kids grow - she can teach them discipline - she can teach them how to face difficult situations. The reason for that is that they are more committed than us. You may be earning a lot, but the wife makes you realize what you should be doing. And these rituals makes them believe certain things which definitely are good for the family. I am sure, our ancestors should have compiled these after thorough analysis. In old days, the man used to earn and the women were take care of home. But even now, even if the woman works, she is the one who is more capable of deciding what should be done at home. Agree ?

And it is often taught to us to respect the lady - there is a very old story of how Lord Jagannath suffered poverty and starvation by not respecting her because of their arrogance. And another important lesson from these - The goddess does not differentiate between any cast or religion - which I like the most. After all, if we can not respect humanity then we cease to be the most intelligent creature in this universe.
