STORIES OF NEPAL
I found this little boy at bus park and had a quick talk. though the audio is in Nepali, I tried to translate it here. I don't know to edit video, otherwise, i would have dubbed it. I just write whatever he has said over here :)
I AM GOING TO PRESENT HIS STORY IN HIS OWN WORDS
me: brother, where is your home?
he: Haripur, sarlahi, brother.
me: where do you stay here in Kathmandu?
he: chettrapati,
me: what is your name?
he: Santosh das
me: how old are you?
he: 15 years old.
me: really, 15 years old, but you seem to be so young.
me: with whom you stay at chettrapati?
he: Binod Sahu,
me: what Vinod Sahu does?
he: he has wholesale of balloons, and I purchase balloons of RS5500 and sell it at about RS6000 to RS6500
me: how many days does it take you to sell all these balloons?
he: 2/3 days
me:how many members are there in your family members?
he: I have my mother and my junior brother.
me: what about your father?
he: he died 1 year ago. (i couldn't ask more about his father)
me:how long you have been here in Kathmandu?
he: about 6 months?
me: did you run away from home or asked your mother to come to Kathmandu?
he: my mother told me to go Kathmandu and earn money
me: what will you don in future?
he: I will work in a garage and learn maintenance of vehicles so I can earn some money
this was a small story of a 15 years old boy. he is earning about RS300/400 per day. which mean about 3/4 $ a day. the life of such kids is so miserable. the earning made are saved for their family. though he is 15 years old, he is taking responsibility like a father, hats off to this young boy,
