Yes, sometimes it can be difficult to go over a sketch with a marker, but that also depends on the type or brand of marker. I use Staedtler accessories and I am very satisfied. It doesn't smudge when I run my hand over the drawing, and I always have a habit of thickening the lines on the face first, and with animals I usually start from the muzzle. 😁
