Hello readers, today I will be discussing on a very interesting project called MIXIN.

The lack of a scalable Blockchain has indeed handicapped the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency. Some platforms like the Lightning Network, Raiden and Plasma have tried to proffer solutions but still they haven’t been proven to be the definitive solution for achieving true scalability.

This is the reason the MIXIN NETWORK was birthed to produce distributed ledger for a faster transaction speed and high security through decentralization.

MIXIN NETWORK
The Mixin Network brings to market a multilayered platform built to enhance the speed, privacy and security of transactions between digital assets across multiple distributed ledgers. Mixin is a free and very fast peer-to-peer transactional network for digital assets, designed to solve the scalability of the blockchain. Mixin is a distributed cross-chain solution with built-in smart contracts that facilitates fast and secure cryptocurrency and crypto-asset transfer.

Mixin Messenger is an example to show developers how to build the DApps on Mixin Network. Users can easily access their kinds of blockchain assets only through a phone number and a 6-digit PIN code. XIN is the sole token used by many services in Mixin, especially full node collateral, the DApp creation and API calls.

FEATURES OF MIXIN NETWORK
The core features of mixin network includes the following-
• End-to-End Encryption Messaging
Mixin uses the message sender’s signaling protocol key to encrypt and manage all conversations, whether it be direct messages or targeted in a huddle. Without authorization from the messenger, no third party can check the message as even the fully functional buttons and the high reputation of Mixin can not be read and all messages permanently deleted on the server after being read by all recipients in the conversation.

• Mobile and PIN Based Identity
Most of today’s popular blockchain networks require the use of private key to keep their identities safe and these are difficult to remember and sometimes might be lost. This is one of the many hurdles that prevents people from using the popular Blockchain.
With the use of TEE technology, the Mixin platform has designed a much simpler identification solution that is identity and management based on phone verification codes and PINs which has the same security level as other blockchain platforms.

XIN Token
XIN tokens are the main token used in the network. XIN token is used to reward those who support the network by validating transactions. XIN tokens are also staked in the proof of stake consensus protocol
The Mixin Network also connects to different Dapps using API calls. These Dapps pay the network in XIN tokens based on the amount of resources the Dapp consumes.
