I remember when I moved to France a few days before my birthday and I didn't know a single soul, I made it my mission to find friends to celebrate my life on earth.
Making friends as an adult may seem more difficult than when we were playing on the playground but quite frankly I've been guilty of chasing boys for most of my adult life. I don't really see the difference rather than one is more socially acceptable than the other.
Spending the weekends at bars finding a potential Sunday boyfriend or looking for a soulmate is quite normal and I have nothing against that, it was just a time in my life I realized that finding real friends is just as important and I decided to experiment a bit and shift my focus from boys to friends.
Friends are the family you choose. Friends are always there for you through your highlights and lowlights. Friends forgive and support. Friends don't leave you cause you were seduced to adultery. Friends are an extensions of you and they will stand by your side till death do you part.
