Hello my dear Hive readers, kisses and greetings from Venezuela, today I will continue with the difficult story of my fight against breast cancer and on the occasion of being in the month of its prevention. In my past story I stopped in the search for options for my surgery, I really tell you it was extremely complicated.

The next day after my diagnosis I went to the public hospital in my town, finding myself with the harsh reality that due to the country's situation the oncology consultation was suspended, I left the hospital very worried because at that time I did not have the necessary financial resources to pay for a surgery in a private clinic and I had to do it quickly because the tumor would increase in size and the risk would be greater.

Two months went by waiting for the oncology service to be reactivated, something that never happened while I was ill, my brother who lives in another state called me and told me to travel there because he had made an appointment for me in a consultation at a public hospital in that state. I traveled the following week very nervous because of what the doctor who would perform my surgery would tell me, the day of the consultation I arrived at 5 am at the Dr. Raúl Leoni hospital in Bolivar State, Venezuela where they informed me that I was a new patient and from From another state of the country she had to be treated last, I waited for many hours when it was 3pm just sitting on a bench, my husband could not accompany me because he worked and had to fulfill his duties.

The end of my wait came and I was called by the nurse, between the office and Dr. Alexis Moreno, specialist in Mastology and Oncological surgery, told me to remove my blouse and bra, I sat on a stretcher while he checked my right breast of course I had already reviewed my results of the tests previously carried out, he told me, do you have children? I answered if I have two, do you have a partner to support you on this long road? I said yes, dr, I have my husband ... oh well, many women do not have the happiness of having a family that supports them so you are a young and very lucky woman, I answered if Dr. you are right. He took my mom in his hand and began to mark lines on it with a marker.

After checking my breast, she told me 80% of your breast can be saved, I will only remove your nipple, I said no, Dr. I want you to remove everything, give me a radical mastecomia, he answered, you should not ask me that, I told him why ? He answered that it will bring adverse consequences to your body since your right arm will undergo changes, it will become inflamed because apart from removing your breast I must extract your lymphatic ganglia, I told him I still want a radical mastectomy. I confess that I made that decision because a few months before I found out that she had cancer, a friend had lost her fight against that disease and she had left her breast, they only removed the tumor, which is why the cancer occurred in the other breast and then it metastasized until his death, the day I found out that he suffered from that terrible disease I decided that I would withdraw all my

I had to travel every Thursday to consult until my surgical intervention, my first consultation was in the month of May and Dr., Alexis sent me a series of exams that I had to perform prior to my intervention such as: echoes, tomographies, laboratories, dental check-up , bone desintometry, bone gamma gram among others. So I arrived on July 9, 2015, the day of my surgery, I arrived at the hospital at 6 am in the company of my husband, my brother and his wife, they took me to a room where I took off all my clothes and shoes, I just left wrapped in a blanket and I felt very cold, ah here I stop with a lot of desire to cry when I remember that moment since it was terrible I felt as if I was going to the end of my life, but well, I better continue with my story; A nurse placed a yerk in my vein and the anesthesiologist took my blood pressure telling me that it was perfect to proceed with the surgical intervention, then they gave me an operating room where Dr. Alexis was waiting for me with a group of doctors and nurses to My intervention, I lay down on the operating bed totally naked with a lot of cold and before the gaze of more than 12 people, I looked at the wall and there was a Christ, I closed my eyes and spoke with God saying:
"MY GOD, BELOVED FATHER, I BEG YOU THAT IF I AM GOING TO SUFFER WITH THIS DISEASE AFTER THE OPERATION, TAKE ME WITH YOU TO YOUR KINGDOM, YOUR DESTINY DECIDES, IF YOU WISH TO GIVE ME A SECOND CHANCE"

My intervention began at 8:00 am and ended at 3:30 pm, when I woke up in the recovery room, the first thing I said in my mind was "Thank you God for giving me a second chance at life" although I felt terrible pain that caused me cry, they put a pain reliever on me and then I was placed in a room where my relatives were waiting for me, very dismayed by the time it lasted in the operating room and because I had 4 intravenous lines 3 in my arm and one in my neck, in the same way a drain that I sucked and deposited a lot of blood in a container that I extracted from my operated side.

Up to that point it will be my story on this occasion, on a next occasion I will tell you about my experience in terms of chemotherapy treatment, always reminding you to take care of yourself and pay attention to the signs that life gives us.
