We’ve known Frida since she was just a few days old. It was the first newborn photo shoot I ever did, and to be honest, I was never really happy with the results. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to document her birthdays and baptism, as well as take photos of her with her sisters. When I took these photos, I hadn’t seen her in a few years, so I was really amazed to see how much she’d grown, and it made me stop and think that maybe I don’t feel the passage of time as much as others do because I don’t have children.
I think it’s the growth of the children around us that reminds us every day (more effectively) of the passage of time, more so than our own aging.
But anyway, the reason for this post is more than an existential reflection; it’s to enjoy Frida’s happiness.
