Around the Day of the Dead, at children’s parties, girls are often made up as Catrinas, but not with the precision of professional makeup; the materials used are usually different, as is the quality of the makeup. These people are called face painters, and they don’t just do this work around the Day of the Dead; you can find them doing this at any celebration, though the designs vary depending on the occasion. Although the photos I’m showing you are of a little girl, this isn’t exactly the work of a facepainter, but rather professional makeup. I hope you like them.
