It has just been hours that I posted about how parents stress their kids to perform well academically to ensure that they have a better life post their education, but is our education system capable enough to put some sense into us? Well, as said, Indian education system is polluted. People, like in every other department, are found to be currupt here too. While we common people cannot stop boasting about how tough our education system is there seem to be some who don't actually need to put In any effort to get the best educational qualifications provided they are filthy rich or have access to forged paper makers.
A random girl from Bihar gets to be the top rank holder who if questioned doesn't know shit about what she studied for her exam. She doesn't know what were her subjects and even what is taught in political science. The flaw was recognized when the topper was interviewed to celebrate her achievements. The interview video was flashed across the country and soon became viral and when probed it was found to be a case of bribing the officials to get the best rank. This doesn't come as a shocker to me because there are many more.
The recent news that is doing the rounds on the internet is about a MLA from southern India who claims that he has studied physics to complete his graduation in commerce. He actually stressed that it was physics that drove him to take up commerce. When he was corrected saying there is no physical in commerce, he says why not, it is there, I studied that. The said MLA has become a laughing stock for the nation. But that makes me wonder how these people get the degrees while we had a tough time getting passing marks when we were school going kids.
Looks like there will soon be a time when a 5 year old will hold his master's in medicine tightly in his hand and say that learning alphabets got him the license of treating people.
God save India.
