Water is the source of life on water. I cannot imagine the condition the world would be in without water in it. Thanks to the growing population which has been cutting trees faster than planting some, the country is facing water shortage. My home town, Mangalore, is surrounded with rivers, but thanks to the damaged eco system the rivers are drying up.

Mangalore usually have water shortage problems during the summer months as the water collected in the dam gets evaporated during to the wrath of the sun. The quantity of water left in the dam after evaporation is not enough to provide for the various fields and the population. As a result famers are facing heavy loss as the crops are drying up.
The muncipal corporation has issued notice to residents to use water cautiously. To deal with the problem the local body has been supplying water to residents once in every 3 days. People have been praying for the rain god to show some mercy.
I hope the Monsoon showers arrive soon and help the farmers who have been struggling with their corps. It is time that the sun goes on a vacation for some months. We need rain badly.
