It’s been a long time since I shared my experience playing Head 2 Head (H2H) in EA Sports FC Mobile, so I thought it was about time I told you guys about one of my recent encounters. FC Mobile is quite different from a game like eFootball when it comes to playing against AI. In eFootball, you can have league matches, Champions League games, different cup competitions, and actually play through those competitions against the AI from the beginning of a match. FC Mobile doesn’t really work that way. Most of the matches you play against AI are more like scenario based matches, where you’re thrown into an already existing situation and expected to change the outcome. Sometimes the match starts from around the 25th minute or even later, and you could already be losing 1-0 or 2-0 before you even touch the ball. From there, your job is basically to turn the entire game around. You don’t get to start from the first minute unless it’s a special or limited time mode. At first, it might sound easy, but when you’re already behind and have limited time to make a comeback, things can get frustrating very quickly.
So, after a while, I decided to jump into Head 2 Head and see what kind of opponent I would meet. That was when I came across a player using Portugal 🇵🇹. Now, if you know me, you already know where my mind went immediately. I’m a Lionel Messi fan, so whenever I see someone representing Portugal, my brain automatically starts preparing for war. 😂 Normally, I would see it as a Messi vs Ronaldo rivalry, even though we’re literally just playing a mobile football game. The funny part is that when I started playing EA Sports FC Mobile, Messi had already left European football, so I couldn’t exactly build my team around him the way I would have loved to. I had to choose another club that I liked, and that club ended up being Manchester City. So there I was, representing Manchester City, staring at a Portugal player, and all I could hear in my head was: “Trash this Ronaldo fan!” 😭😂
The match started, and thankfully, I didn’t waste any time. I managed to score the first goal, and honestly, after getting that goal, I thought I was about to cook this guy. I was expecting myself to score a few more and completely take control of the game. But then my own skills decided to disappear. 😂 Every other good opportunity I got somehow ended with me failing to put the ball in the net. Some chances were also affected by the lag, but I’m not going to use that as an excuse because, at the end of the day, I should have done better with some of those chances. As the match continued, I started realizing that scoring that second goal was becoming more important than I initially thought. I didn’t want to give this guy any opportunity to come back into the game, especially because of something I’ve noticed from playing FC Mobile for a long time. A lot of players don’t really play like sportsmen. Once they get into a winning position, some players start trying to frustrate you, wasting time, bringing your players down, and sending disrespectful stickers just to get under your skin. I used to get genuinely annoyed when people did that to me back in the day. But with time, I decided that I didn’t want to become the same type of player just because other people were doing it.
So while I was playing this guy, I kept sending the GGs sticker. I wanted him to know that, regardless of the rivalry I had created inside my own head, this was still just a game. 😂 I wasn’t there to disrespect him. I was simply trying to enjoy the match and hopefully get the win. The funny thing was that he never replied. Not even one sticker, nothing. And based on some of my previous experiences, when an opponent stays completely silent while you’re beating them, there’s always that little fear that they’re saving their stickers for the end. 😂 Sometimes you think the match is over, they come back, and suddenly your screen is filled with the most disrespectful stickers imaginable.
I didn’t want to give him that opportunity. That was another reason I became determined to score that second goal. I wanted to completely close the game before anything crazy could happen. Eventually, with the match reaching its dying moments, I managed to put another ball into the back of the net. That second goal finally gave me the security I needed, and I was able to finish the game with the victory. Looking back, it was a simple H2H match, but it reminded me of something I’ve learned from playing online games for years. Winning is great, but the way you behave while winning also matters. There’s no need to insult someone just because you’re ahead, and there’s definitely no need to ruin another player’s experience simply because you managed to beat them.
I know it’s just gaming, and sometimes the competition can get intense, but at the end of the day, there’s another real person sitting on the other side of that screen. So whether you win or lose, try to keep the respect. And as for that Portugal player… I hope he knows that Messi was still somewhere in my head during that entire match. 😂🇦🇷 Thanks for visiting, guys. Always remember to be a respectful gamer, whether you’re winning or losing. Goodnight 😴❤️
