Some months ago, Call of Duty Mobile introduced the Shiba themed Strong Box. Although it wasn't one of the game's biggest collaborations, it came with some really beautiful weapon blueprints and character skins that immediately caught my attention. Unfortunately, at that time I was completely broke and couldn't afford to spend anything on the Strong Box, so I had no choice but to let those skins pass me by.
Last season, however, the Shiba theme made a return, this time not as a collaboration but as a Strong Box featuring a different set of rewards. While it had fewer items than before, one skin stood out to me immediately, a gorgeous DLQ-33 blueprint. I've wanted a nice DLQ-33 skin for a very long time, so when I saw it, I knew I had to find a way to get it.
Instead of spending COD Points, I decided to be patient. I had been saving every Strong Box coupon I earned from events and missions, hoping that one day they would help me get something I really wanted. That strategy worked well for me during the Girls Frontline Strong Box, where I managed to obtain several beautiful skins completely for free. So I decided to trust my luck once again.
For those who may not know, after opening a Strong Box 100 times, you're allowed to select one reward of your choice for free. After patiently collecting and using my coupons, I finally reached that milestone and was able to claim this amazing Shiba DLQ-33 skin without spending any COD Points. It felt incredibly satisfying because patience finally paid off.
When it comes to gameplay, I'm honestly not a huge fan of the DLQ-33 in Multiplayer. The weapon has a relatively slow Aim Down Sight (ADS) speed compared to some other sniper rifles. In fast paced matches, every second matters. If you ADS, miss your shot, and have to aim again, your opponent has plenty of time to eliminate you. That's why I usually prefer faster sniper rifles in Multiplayer.
However, the story is completely different in Battle Royale. The DLQ-33 performs much better there because the slower pace of BR gives you more time to line up your shots. One of my favorite things about this sniper is its exclusive attachment that releases a Concussion Grenade whenever you successfully hit an enemy. The concussion effect slows their movement and disrupts their vision for a few seconds, making it much easier to finish them off before they can react. It's a very useful feature that gives the DLQ-33 a unique advantage in Battle Royale.
Lately, I've been using this blueprint with different weapon camos, and they all look fantastic. But for this showcase, I decided not to equip any camo at all because I wanted everyone to appreciate the original design of the Shiba skin in its natural form. The artwork, colors, and overall finish already make it look amazing without any additional customization.
Overall, I'm really happy to finally add this blueprint to my collection. It may have taken months of waiting, saving coupons, and relying on a bit of luck, but in the end it was definitely worth it.
