Yesterday, I got a pretty interesting surprise when I logged into Blood Strike. I wasn't actually expecting any update at all. My original plan was simply to enter the game, play a few matches for fun, and then probably log out. But as soon as I opened the game, I discovered that there was a new update waiting for me. 😮💨🔥 At first, I thought it was probably just one of those regular updates with a few fixes and minor changes, but when I went over to the Play Store, I immediately noticed something interesting, Blood Strike had a new WWE collaboration! 🤼♂️🔥 That immediately told me that this wasn't going to be an ordinary little update. After downloading and installing the update, I went into the game to see what had changed, and I noticed that there were also new modes and other additions waiting for players to explore. If you've played Blood Strike before, you already know what happens whenever you log into the game after an update. Your screen gets flooded with different pop-ups. 😂 You might see a new weapon skin, character skin, limited-time event, challenges you can complete, rewards you can claim, collaborations, or even new game modes that the developers want you to try. There were quite a few things popping up on my screen this time, but out of everything I saw, one particular mode immediately caught my attention, Duel. 👀🔥
The moment I saw the Duel mode pop-up, something in my mind just told me, "This mode is going to be fire." 😂🔥 Without wasting any time, I clicked GO, and the game immediately took me into the new mode. Now, when I first saw the name Duel, I naturally assumed it was going to be a 1 Vs 1 mode. I mean, when you hear the word "duel," you usually think about two players facing each other. But surprisingly, that wasn't the case. It was actually a 2 Vs 2 mode. 😳 And honestly, I didn't mind that at all because 2 Vs 2 can create some really interesting situations. You have to worry about your opponent while also keeping an eye on your teammate, and if your teammate gets eliminated, you could suddenly find yourself in a difficult clutch situation. The moment I entered the match and realized what I was playing, I immediately equipped my Shotgun and for this particular match, I decided that I wasn't going to use anything else. If you've been following my gaming experiences, you probably already know that I love using Shotguns. 🔥 However, there is one major problem when it comes to using Shotguns in Blood Strike, they aren't the most reliable weapons when it comes to one-shot kills.
Unlike some other games, you can't always expect to point your Shotgun at an enemy, pull the trigger once and immediately send them back to the lobby. 😂 In Blood Strike, you often have to land two or even three shots to eliminate an enemy, and depending on the situation, sometimes it can take even more. And that's where things become dangerous. Imagine encountering a really good player while you're holding a Shotgun. You shoot once, but the enemy doesn't go down. Before you can properly line up that second shot, the enemy can already turn around, beam you with their weapon and eliminate you. That's one of the biggest disadvantages I notice whenever I'm using Shotguns in Blood Strike. Compare that to Call of Duty Mobile, where certain Shotguns can potentially eliminate an enemy with a single well placed shot. Of course, it isn't guaranteed every single time, your damage depends on things like your range and where your pellets land, but when you're using a good Shotgun, you at least have that confidence that a single shot can potentially win the gunfight. Even if your health is already low, you can still have a serious chance of turning the fight around with one well placed Shotgun blast. 🔥 Blood Strike Shotguns, on the other hand, require a different mindset. You have to understand that you're probably going to need multiple shots, which means your movement, positioning and ability to take cover become extremely important. This is also one of the reasons why I don't normally recommend using a Shotgun in Hot Zone, especially when you're going up against multiple enemies at once. Don't get me wrong, I've used Shotguns in Hot Zone before. It's definitely possible to get kills with them. But the problem becomes very obvious when you're fighting against several enemies at the same time. Let's say I encounter one opponent. I shoot him once, he doesn't die, I shoot again. Maybe he's finally eliminated. But guess what? By that time, one of his teammates might already be coming from another direction to third party me. 😭 And this can happen repeatedly throughout the match.
While I'm busy trying to two pump or three pump one enemy, another opponent can appear and catch me while I'm already low on health. That can quickly turn what should have been a successful engagement into a frustrating death. It can also affect my team's performance because I'm getting fewer kills and taking unnecessary risks. That's why, personally, I think Shotguns are much better suited for 1 Vs 1 encounters, or even 2 Vs 1 situations if you're confident in your aim and movement. And this new Duel mode was basically the perfect environment for me to test that theory. 😂🔥 There was actually a very interesting moment in the match where my Duo was eliminated, leaving me to fight the opposing players alone. At that point, I had to clutch the situation by myself with nothing but my Shotgun. 😤🔥 If you watch the video carefully, you'll notice something I was doing repeatedly. I would shoot the enemy once, immediately move away and take cover, then wait for the right opportunity before coming out to take another shot. Some people might wonder "why I didn't simply stand there and keep shooting?". The answer is simple, I know my weapon. I already understand that Blood Strike's Shotgun isn't something I can blindly rely on to one-pump an enemy. If I stand in the open after my first shot and the enemy survives, I'm basically giving them a free opportunity to eliminate me. So instead, I use a hit and cover strategy. Shoot, Take cover, Reposition then Shoot again. That way, even if my first shot doesn't eliminate the opponent, I reduce the chances of immediately getting punished. And thankfully, the strategy worked perfectly for me in that match. 😎🔥 By the end of the game, we managed to secure the victory, and to make things even better, I finished with the highest number of kills in the entire match.🏆🔥
That was definitely a satisfying way to experience the new Duel mode for the first time. And honestly, I played quite a few more matches after that. I managed to win almost all of them, with only one loss during my sessions.
But obviously, I can't record and share every single match. 😂 So, for content purposes, I decided to record and share this particular one because I felt it showed exactly how I like to use a Shotgun in situations where the weapon isn't necessarily the easiest to rely on. This new Duel mode has definitely caught my attention, and I'll probably be spending more time playing it whenever I want a quick and intense match. So, if you've already updated Blood Strike, have you tried the new Duel mode yet? And what do you think about Blood Strike's Shotguns? Do you think they should be buffed so that they can one-shot enemies more consistently, or do you think their current damage is balanced? Let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks a lot for stopping by and reading through my post. Don't forget to drop your comments before you leave, and I'll see you all in my next gaming experience. Goodbye, everyone.👋🔥
