As part of what i do most of the time i visit the several whatsApp groups to interact , build friendship, learn and as well and contribute in my own way to community sustainability. One of the major challenges i noticed amongst starters and even for others that may have been around for a while is the issue of how to convert SBD to Steem and vice versa and most of the time how to know the equivalent in Naira in you are in Nigeria for instance. I also have heard questions like how i want to power up but i do not know how to convert my SBD to steem.
So am putting to together a few calculations/ conversions to guide someone out there who would find this helful.
How to know what steem or SBD in Naira per time
For instance, the current value of SBD at the time of the post is $6.38 and steem is $5.92. What is the value in naira?.
Note that 1SBD = $6.38
Exchange rate of 1 $ on naira = #360(at the moment).
Therefore 360 x 6.38 = 2296
This implies that 1 SBD would be #2296
So that means if you have 3 SBD it would be worth #6890 and so on.
N/B The value of SBD/steem can change at a given time and would the naira equivalent as well.
If it changed from $6.38 to $8 for instance that means it would be equal 2280.
I.e 8 x 360 = 2880.
The mode of calculation is the same as well.
360 x the current value of steem.
360 x 5.92 = #2131
This conversion is especially necessary for those that desire power, those who have some SBD and are thinking of how to transit it to steem. There are several ways to do but am gonna to the easier and less expensive method.
When you click on this it would take you to another web page blocktrades an exchange that directly linked steemit.
Select on send coin
Scroll down and choose SBD since that is the address you wanna convert from.
on the receive button choose steem.
3 put your username on the box below and generate your id
4 Click on manual transfer
Follow the instructions as directly on the dashboard.
On the other end when you have done as directed i.e sending the SBD for Blocktrades with the memo given in a few seconds the conversion would be done for you and in your wallet history you would see something like:
The value of steem you would have after the conversion is dependent on how much SBD you transfered.
Now you power up with the steem to have more voting power and influence online.
