I painted this art work in 2019 outdoors en plein air in Arrowtown, New Zealand. It was April and mid autumn (the seasons are in reverse in the southern hemisphere).
As Arrowtown has been planted with many European and American broadleaf trees every year there is always a beautiful display of Autumn colour.
I painted this art work in oils.
