In His infinite love for you, he she His blood on the cross of calvary to pay the ransom for your soul. He made a huge sacrifice to save you from eternal punishment.
The sinless Jesus died in your stead to cleanse you from sin and reconcile you to God. Have you ever wondered why God did not send an angel to die for you and the entire world? Perhaps, such sacrifice was too much for them to bear for humans. But Jesus, propelled by deep love for our sin. Beginning from His betrayal to His crucifixion,He suffered much for your sake.
The treasurer among His disciples, Judas iscariot, betrayed Him! as if that was not devastating enough; Simon Peter,the leader of His trusted folks denied him, when the jews arrested Him, other disciples had earlier deserted Him. They all forsook Him when he needed them most.
To worsen His predicament, the same people he came to save ridiculed and derided him. He was made a shameful spectacle to the world! Eventually, He was crucified on the cross, driving heavy nails into His hands and feet. He suffered great agony for you and now you and i can have the full benefits of redemption.
Dear beloved, after this much sacrifice for you,will you spurn Jesus invitation for salvation? will you allow His death to be vain in your life? Jesus had paid the ultimate penalty for your sin, how will you repay the huge sacrifice of love? it is wisdom to appreciate and appropriate His sacrifice for you by living to please and glorify Him.if you don't yet have a relationship with Him, don't hesitate to accept Him as your Lord and Saviour today.
