Exactly! It's made me lose a lot of interest, to be honest. How can they say they want to attract new players to the game? What they really mean is that they want to attract money to the game. Whilst I understand that they don't want whales buying up all the packs, they need to be a lot more equitable in giving new players a chance to buy the packs too, otherwise, we are held to ransom by those already in the game and left to buy the cards they don't want at prices they determine or rent cards ...not ideal. It would not be difficult for them to put a code on every Splinterland account that allows them to purchase their first 5-10 packs without the need for a special voucher based on SPS stake. Thereafter if they want to have an SPS based stake system to limit whales from buying too much, that at least does not act as a barrier to new entrants.
