The Center government said on Thursday that the government intends to increase the daily number of corona-related investigations to 45 lakh from the current 16-20 lakhs by the end of June. A record 20.55 lakh samples were tested in the country in the last 24 hours. In order to increase the investigation capacity, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has also approved a home-based Rapid Antigen Detection (RAT) kit which is Mylab Discovery Solutions Ltd., Pune has developed.
Three more RATs approved soon
ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava said that kits produced by three more companies are also in line and are expected to be approved within a week. Bhargava said that the kit designed to test the corona infection at home would be available in the market in three-four days. 41 of them have been approved.
Bhargava said that we are currently investigating 16-20 lakhs. By the end of this month we have the capacity to perform 2 million tests per day. But by the end of next month we will have the ability to test up to 45 lakhs. Because ICMR has recognized more than 105 RAT companies and approved 41 of them and 31 of them are indigenous. He said that out of 45 lakh probes, there will be 18 lakh RT-PCR tests and 27 lakh rapid antigen tests.

He said that for testing at home, you should buy a kit from the medical store and then download the mobile app, register and read the manual. Then do your own investigation and take a photo from the mobile and upload it. The mobile phone will tell you the result. Bhargava said that in the second wave we have to increase the RAT investigation, we have written to all the chief secretaries and they have started work on it. A number of RAT booths will be set up in towns and villages, working 24 hours a day for seven days.
People are not masking properly

Corona's havoc diminishing
He said that the cases under treatment on May 3 were 17.13 per cent of the total cases, which is now 12.1 per cent of the total cases. There has also been an improvement in the recovery rate of the people. On May 3, it was 81.7 per cent, which has now risen to 86.7 percent. He said that the number of corona investigations in India has been steadily increasing weekly since mid-February and has increased by an average of 2.3 times in 12 weeks. .
