No Deer were harmed, our Samoyed couldn't be more harmless. He lets our Hamster sit on his head, he loves Cats, he loves Butterflies and is scared of Bees.
Again, before the keyboard warriors come out to play...
IF he had got close enough to the Deer, he would have most likely licked them and then ran away like he does with Cats. It's in their genes to want to herd Deer.
We had him off the lead for about 30mins and he wasn't really interested in them, but they all got up from laying down at once and that sparked interest from Solomon. He got all excited and wanted to play.
Petworth Park allows dogs to be walked off the lead so if they were worried about dogs chasing the deer then I'm sure they would re think that rule.
Anyway Petworth Park is a great place for a dog walk, it has over 700 acres to walk around. There is a free car park North of Petworth House, although it took us about 20mins to find a space.
Here is a map, you can literally spend hours here.
There are plenty of local countryside pubs to get a roast dinner and an ale nearby after your walk.
I would highly recommend Petworth Park to anyone who hasn't been before.
