J.K Rowling Said, "If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book"

She is definitely right because, when you find the right set of books or when you get interested in a particular genre, It changes you and your perspective to Life.

The last time i wrote an article in this community, i explained how i grew up being forced to read everyday. At first, it looked like am being forced to like books, but later, I discovered that i could just flow with the author's mind and even go further in my imaginations.

Yesterday, we had a Hive meet up here in my country, and i couldn't join the book club discord voice chat, However, I came across a very interesting article by macchiata@macchiata , she talked about some books that has helped shaped her Life. According to her words;

Some of those books carry some moral lessons and life lessons that I implement in my life.

I agree and can relate with her, So I've decided to write my version. I believe my choice of books have changed over the years and I have read various books over the years. However, the ones I'd be listing have definitely changed the course of my life and helped me manage relationships.

1. 48 LAWS OF POWER

I love Robert greene! And sometimes I argue that this has to be one the best book of all time. I read it everytime. I like the fact that many of the laws has REVERSALS. It is a book that i was actually sceptical to read at first due to people labeling it as a Devilish book. However, I find the book very normal. It contains stories that are instructive, it gives guidelines to handling some realities of life. My favourite laws are Number 1 and 47.

Law 1 says "Never outshine the Master." - I come from a place where this law has helped me, I use to think it was okay to show smartness everywhere and everytime, but this law taught me to always respect my leaders and avoid out shining them.

Law 47 says "Do Not go Past The Mark You Aimed For, In Victory Learn When To Stop."

This helped me alot while playing chess, I take my games seriously when am winning and try to end them quickly! I don't make fun of my opponents, neither do i keep them longer on the board than they should. I checkmate as soon as i get the chance.

2. Art Of Seduction
3. Mastery

Number 2 and 3 are books also written by robert greene, I find his books interesting and instructive. I don't take all his advices. However, it is important to have his knowledge at hand.

4. THE CONFIDENCE GAME

This book is similar to the laws of power in the sense that it explains manipulation too. It focuses on how fraudsters manipulate people and how to avoid it.

This book was recommended to me by my uncle, he likes the fact that I read these kind of books. The confidence game explains the relationship between con artists and their victim. It is a good read and was written beautifully by Maria Konnikova. She's a Russian-American writer.

I'm planning to read once of her recent books soon... "The Biggest Bluff" (2020).

5. 50 psychological Ideas you need to know - Adrian Furnham
6. Art Of deception - Kevin Mitnick and William L. Simon

Book Number 5 talks about some basic psychology which can help you understand people better. While no 6 talks about social engineering, it explains this with real life stories too.

7. YOU CAN READ ANYONE

This book is like a Life manual telling you step by step directions on how you can handle some situations, just like the book names says, it helps you never to be taken advantage of or at least try to do so. I like the book, It is a good book.

In conclusion...

Yes, I love reading books psychology, I probably might not need all the knowledge and informations in reality, However, it just feels good and interesting to keep exploring the human Nature. I love to understand the next person standing next to me. It has helped me build understanding relationships with people.
