Greetings!
Nothing pleases God the most than his begotten son, Jesus Christ. All other things according to the teaching can please God, but not the most as Jesus Christ is the only one that pleases God the most.
In the scripture according to Matthew 17:5, it shows that only Jesus is the one in whom Jesus is well pleased and for this reason, he's the only one that can please God the most.
Aside from him, no one and nothing can please God the most, it's only Jesus Christ that can please his only son that can please God the most.
Furthermore in the book of Jer 9:23, we can only please God, by knowing and understanding him, but this doesn't even translate to loving or pleasing him most.
One thing that God delighted in so much is to understand and know him and this is the only way we humans can please him, but in this case not as our Lord Jesus Christ, who is his son would please him.
What all this means is that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of the most high, God and in him he's well pleased and this statement was said on two occasions in the bible, one at his son, Jesus Christ baptism and the other on the mount of transfiguration.
In conclusion, we should all know that we can please God as well, but not as Jesus Christ, his only begotten would please him.
