Greetings!
Like I used to say, the advent of technology has really helped us human to live our lives with so much ease, which means, things are now easy to do, people can now communicate to the outside world at their palm, we can now solve problem, most especially the ones that comes with education on our phones which to me is a plus to our education system unlike before in which every solution in education takes time to be solved.
Having said so much about technology and education, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt which is all about, “Should phones be allowed in the classrooms?”
Well to me. I would like to write against the use of phones in the classroom and this is because of the kind of distraction the use of phones can cause to the student who is using it in the classroom, his friends, I mean his colleagues and fellow students, and the teacher.
Like I said earlier, the presence of phone in our today's school system has been of great importance, but even at that, the distraction it can cause is a stumbling block to its importance as most of the students are not even using in line with their academics, some used it to watch social media skit, another will use it to watch immoral things and the likes thereby distracting them from what is being taught by the teacher and by this they would lose concentration in the classroom.
So, to me, the use of phone in the classroom is something I would not support as a teacher and this is also because as a teacher, I have on several occasions being distracted by the phones being brought to school by my students as they refused to listen to what I was teaching them while watching film or movie on their phone.
So, the use of phones should not be allowed in the school and not to talk of the classroom most especially among the primary and secondary pupils and students respectively.
