Greetings!
Transactions is one thing that has been in existence from the time immemorial, even when money was not in existence, transaction has always been in existence with people trading their ways through what we all know as trade by barter. So, transactions with cash or without cash can never stop trading or transactions as we always find means to buy and sell their goods and services.
Having said this, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt before me in the Hive learners community which is all about, “Cash or digital.”
The use of cash as a means of transaction when it comes to buying and selling has been in existence for a period of time now and it's been a very means of transaction in which we pay for our goods on the spot with our cash.
This method to me is the best method and this has no network issue at all, even with this method, there's nothing like cheating, you pay with cash based on what you as a buyer and the seller have agreed on. However, as good as this method is, people can still transact with fake money, although, some of them who used to perpetrate this evil act have been caught on so many occasions, but if not caught, they can put the owner of the goods who has been paid with fake money into debt.
Aside from this, it's easy to rob those that are carrying their cash up and down of their money by the armed robbers. We have seen this happening on so many occasions where people were robbed and killed just because they were carrying cash up and down all just because of a transaction.
However, aside from all of these that have been mentioned, the use of cash as a means of transaction to me cannot be overemphasized as it has really made transactions in the past and even now easier.
But as good as a transaction with cash is, the use of digital methods in transactions can never be left behind and this is because the digital means of transaction has really made transactions when it comes to buying and selling goods and services beautiful, fast and easy. Now, everybody can now transact and buy whatever they wish to buy using the digital mode of transaction.
The only problem with this method is that it's not as reliable as that cash as network issues can cause the transaction to fail. If the network is bad, then there would be no transaction and this might not be good enough as the transaction in question might be so important, most especially when it comes to life saving if the sick and the rest.
So, as good as this method is, the network might be a very big clog in the wheel of this method.
In conclusion, both are good and thank God that one of the two had not gone into extinction. So, if one is not working, we can then switch to the other for a better transaction.
