Greetings!
This life is all about responsibility and one funny thing is that responsibility will continue till our last day and breath on earth. One thing that I want us to know is that, everyone will be responsible either consciously or unconsciously, responsibility will surely set in and by this, we will have no choice but to take it.
Having said so much about responsibility and humanity, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt in the Hive student connect which is all about, “When should adult children begin to take responsibility for themselves.”
This is one of the questions that most people have been asking themselves and I too will like to express my own personal opinion most especially with my little experience about the topic to others to know and learn from it.
As for me, there's no time for adult children to take responsibility for themselves as no child would be an adult in the sight of his or her parents. However, that's by going with the popular saying that a child would always remain a child in the eyes of his or her parents, but if we should look at this from another angle, I would say that an adult child should take responsibility for themselves when they are matured enough and are financially stable.
One thing I want us to know is that not everyone who is called adults is mature enough to stand on their own, in fact, some are not financially stable and if we should go by this, how would they be able to take care of themselves and their parents.
However, if they are financially stable, I believe they would be responsible enough without being told and by doing so, they will be able to take care of themselves and their aged parents.
Thanks for reading.
