Limits make us realize that we are not God, but human. Irrespective of how smart, powerful or experienced we may imagine ourselves to be, we all have limits which we cannot cross all by ourselves. Bible indicates that, we are nothing but dust (Psalm 103:14).
This fact makes us remain modest and realistic to our capabilities. When we realize our limits we do not over rely on ourselves anymore but more on God.
Most of the times, individuals are struggling because they do not want to accept their limitations. They would want to do everything by themselves and this usually results to stress, pride and failure.
I have discovered that I am not able to know everything or all the problems alone. The bible tells us, to trust in the lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding(Proverbs 3:5). This is what teaches us that we do not know all, but God knows all.
We are not supposed to be destroyed by our limitations but it is to guide us. God permits the feeling of weakness in us so that we can learn to be obedient, patient and to have faith.
According to Apostle Paul, when I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:10). This indicates that the power of God is most effective once we acknowledge our powerlessness. When I embrace my limits, I leave God to operate in my life.
When we learn to accept our weaknesses in the Church, it also teaches us to coexist with other people. We get to know how to seek assistance, be forgiving and not judge others so easily.
Through the Bible, it states that without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5). This is a reminder that without God, we are just working to waste our time.
Conclusively, it is through our weaknesses that we must be brought nearer to God, rather than be further away. By recognizing them we receive faith, humility, and love.
God bless his word
Amen
